Hello,
As you probably already guessed, my name is Troy Peterson.
I’m a Web Developer, Designer, and New Media Consultant that helps business owners and other designers develop and built web sites and newsletters.
Designer Friendly
With a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, I’m a designer at heart.
Soon after graduating from college, I found a need within the creative community to assist other designers in the technical aspects and implementation of web sites. So, my focus turned from creating designs myself, to partnering and consulting with other designers to bring their flat designs to life on the web.
Client Focused
Whether it be working with a designer, or direct contact with the client themselves, one of my strengths is creating relationships with each party and making sure they are involved with every step of the process.
This is accomplished through communications, both remote and in person, to not only deliver products accurately and on-time, but also train the client to empower them to take on the ongoing management of the delivered materials.
Writing
In addition to my coding and design, I’m also an accomplished writer, contributing to several major blogs and online newsletters within the design and freelancing field. Below are a few examples of these online articles:

History and Education
As mentioned above, I have B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Graphic Design from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Shortly after college, I began working for a mid-sized B2B Publishing company as a Web Producer managing magazine web sites, newsletters, and digital conversions of content. During my 6yrs experience in this field, I quickly moved up the ranks from an entry level web producer, to the lead production manager, and finally to the Web Operations manager.
While working at Questex Media, I still found time to develop several outside sites as personal projects to keep my skills and design prowess up to speed.
These projects include:
Addoursearch.com – An online Browser Search Plugin service that enables blog and web site owners to Install their site’s internal search engine into their visitor’s browser search box.
MamaGets.com – A shopping engine and product comparison tool that allows people to search multiple web sites from a single location to find the best price and shopping experience possible.
